THEME

This is the first WordPress theme I’ve ever made that I’ve designed and coded completely myself. I did this in a school course that implemented a website. The intention was to turn this into a woocommerce theme at a later stage and open an online store, but it will probably wait for its time. It was replaced by Akmeelikoru’s online store, so this was overtaken by it.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

I designed a theme for the school’s course and implemented this Udemy course as a helping hand. The project was very meaningful and I think it turned out good. I started designing the theme with a fireframe and prototyping it before the actual coding. No changes to the plan were made during the coding phase, so I stuck with the plan.

PURPOSE OF THE THEME

I was going to set up an online store with printable planner pages. As the school has taken up most of my time, this project has been put on hold for the time being. This theme has served as the basis for other WordPress themes I’ve made, so it’s definitely not for nothing, not to mention how much it taught me how to create a WordPress theme.

FINAL RESULT

The project taught me a lot about both designing and creating a theme. The first real theme was very successful project, which has inspired me to continue and just learn more about coding and website creation/design.
